There have been some MAGNIFICENT things going on in aid of cure4charley in August so far and we’re only in the first flipping week!
Not only did they help us hit the magical £60,000 mark yesterday, but it has given such a tremendous boost to Charley and Jess as they continue to battle this horrendous disease and look positively towards a hopeful future.
Here is just a few of the things that have been going on:
Steps4Charley – Siobhan Longano and her toddler son Tommy are going strong in their bid to cover 10,000 steps each day of August. After supermarket hunts for diggers and topping up the steps on her exercise bike, Siobhan went on a long bike-walk to the park today and clocked up all her steps by lunchtime! No rest for her though, she’s doing lemons4charley later!!
Hike4Charley – As the amazing Emily Hunt makes her way towards day six of her intrepid challenge to carry out 30 mountain hikes in 30 days – a total ascent of almost 27,000 metres – here are a few pics from the last couple of days in Chamonix. These were from day four.. Le Planet – Bec de Lachat – Mont Roc. You can follow her route here
Karaoke4Charley – An amazing night at the Bedford Tavern with entertainment from some truly talented voices, which included members of the Brighton Gay Men’s Chorus, as well as some excellent raffle prizes. The night pulled in almost £900 for cure4charley!
Lemons4Charley – well, what can I say, there has been some amazing video footage of people being sponsored to suck lemons in aid of Charley. If only I could post all the videos here! Instead you will have to check out our cure4charley facebook page – they’re all on there!! Well worth a look if you fancy a giggle – and remember to nominate your friends after you’ve done it!
Gold4Charley continues to go strong with some absolutely lovely letters coming in to Charley’s Aunty Helen, along with pieces of unused gold and donations. This has to be one of the events that really makes you realise how much kindness and goodness there is in people. Truly tear jerking..
Several of the Charley’s Angels will be at Brighton Pride tomorrow, working their cute butts off holding a stall outside the park and spreading the word, so if you see one of them, do go and say hello!
Also coming up for the rest of the month and into September – check out the following and please show your support:

THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH TO EVERYONE FOR ALL YOU ARE DOING. WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW TRULY AMAZING YOU ALL ARE.
PLEASE KEEP SHARING THE LOVE XXXX ~#c4c
